1. Product Overview
D1031SH45TS02 is ABB 4500V 100mm diameter StakPak soft fast recovery freewheeling press-pack diode, matched with dedicated water cooling mounting frame 3BHB006457R0001 as a full power stack unit. It is exclusively paired with 4500V snubberless IGCT 5SHY3545L0010 to form full bridge arms for high-power medium voltage converters. Hermetic ceramic press-pack housing eliminates internal solder layers for outstanding thermal cycling fatigue resistance; the device fails in short-circuit mode to prevent generator loss-of-field runaway risks in large power plant excitation systems. Soft recovery characteristic drastically reduces switching reverse recovery losses, lowering cabinet heat generation under full-load continuous operation. Mainly deployed in large unit GE EX2100 static excitation converters for 300MW+ gas/steam turbine generators, also widely used in ABB ACS6000 medium voltage rolling mill & mine four-quadrant drives, wind farm high-power grid-connected VSC converters and HVDC flexible transmission valves. Double-sided water cooling base supports stable 1120A rated continuous output.
